Painted staircase installation in California's Huntington Beach featured in Architecture Digest. I worked on this painting keeping in mind that interior designer Leanne Ford wanted to add some texture and a dramatic visual upon entry of the home. I love the gestural quality of the lines, and intentional looseness and overall shape of the painting down the steps. There is a beauty in the crackle process that maintained the painterly quality I applied to the stairs designed to age + patina with the busy life of a family moving up and down these. They were coated by a top clear varnish.
