Delphinium Sparkling Wine,
Sonoma California
Photographer: Anais + Dax
Sommelier and Hospitality expert, Courtney Humiston approached me to help build her brand Delphinium for the launch of her sparkling wine. It was named after her niece and the Delphinium flower which is considered one of the rarest colors in nature. I am a fan of Courtney's ethos of working with nature, not against it with organic farming, native yeast fermentation and absolute minimal additions, for a fresh, soulful wine.
To help Courtney bring the ethos of her wine to visual life, I brought in excellent photographer duo Anais + Dax, who really resonated with Courtney's vision and target markets as she explained them to me, to shoot on the northern California coast near where the wine is grown and harvested.
Leading up to the shoot, I collaborated with and mediated between Courtney and the photographers to create the mood, look and feel of the shoot that would create not just stunning, memorable images, but communicate visually the Delphinium brand: From crafting the mood boards and selecting talent, wardrobe and props leading up to the shoot, to prioritizing and planning how the shot list would work the hardest for her + managing logistics during the two-day long shoot. And at the end of the day, we toasted with beautiful sparkling wine.
Here's to more celebrating in the future + how to find Delphinium.
